SIFTING

Our Grain Sifting Range consists of

1. Mini-Plansifter

2. Turbo Sifter / Peanut Deskinner

3. Rotary Sifter

Mini-Plansifter

The ABC Hansen Mini Plansifter is an 8-10 stage, single plansifter, with a capacity of between 600kg and 1500kg per hour, for sifting and grading various free flowing, granular products.

The plansifter has three discharges, being overs, unders and throughs – or can be set up for 2 separations in a 5 stage sifter.

Turbosifter/Peanut Deskinner

The turbo sifter, also sometimes referred to as a Le Coq sifter, or as a deskinner when used with peanuts, is a versatile sifter that uses the principle of three brushes fixed to a shaft by that rub the product against a steel screen. This action sifts milled type products through a screen, and the overs run over the screen and discharge from the front outlet.

Rotary sifter

The rotary sifter is used for separating and grading milled and raw products, based on their particle
size. The rotary sifter has a cylindrical frame around which two different sizes special nylon or special
stainless steel screens are fitted with brush agitators inside the screen housing.

WHAT MAKES THIS DESIGN UNIQUE?

HOW DO THE SIFTERS WORK?

Mini-Plansifter

The sifting action is an oscillating action, that is achieved with a lead weighted eccentric shaft, that shakes the entire sifter box, which is mounted onto flexible fibreglass rods, in a progressive circular motion, for optimal distribution of the product of the screens, and for quick flow over the screens to the next stages.

Rotary Sifter

The rotary sifter has a cylindrical frame around which two different sizes special nylon or special
stainless steel screens are fitted with brush agitators inside the screen housing. Typically the screen
housing will have 2 sizes of screens, to allow for 3 separations on the product being fed over the
800mm long sifting barrel.

Turbosifter/Peanut Deskinner

This sifter uses the principle of three brushes fixed to a shaft by that rub the product against a steel screen. This action sifts milled type products through a screen, and the overs run over the screen and discharge from the front outlet.

Our machines are aimed to have simplicity of design, ease of screen changes and minimal maintenance.
